**THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Executive Director (CEO), the Chief Services Officer will:

- Lead activities across Disability Services, Aged Services and Community Programs.
- Develop a shared understanding of BSL’s unique practice offering and aligns quality and management systems to enable a first-class culture of practice improvement and effective deployment of resources.
- Ensure greater quality, excellence, learning, innovation and outcomes across BSL’s services, making it easier for them to learn from each other and work together.
- Foster engagement and collaboration across the organisation to deliver outstanding participant outcomes and, through replication and scale, enable the evolution of better practice.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Extensive track record in executive leadership and demonstrated expertise as a thought leader in service delivery, policy trends and opportunities. Highly developed skills and experience working with Boards, peers, community, business and government stakeholders.
- Proven ability to evaluate opportunities and develop solutions based on understanding of the business and regulatory environment and organisational objectives.
- Detailed knowledge of the requirements of current practice models and revenue frameworks in relevant services (e.g., Disability and Aged Care) to ensure the best outcomes for participants and the financial viability of the organisation.
- Commercial acumen, strong organisational and project management skills, highly developed influencing, negotiation verbal and written communication skills.
- A sound knowledge of clinical governance, quality and risk management.
- Role modelling behaviours of integrity, maturity and strong personal and business ethics combined with sound judgement and a commitment to transparency and accountability.
- Relevant tertiary level qualifications (e.g., public health, business administration) and extensive relevant experience in large complex organisations, preferably in a Not-for-profit or government environment.
