**Mechanical Fitter**

Join our team at Synaco Global, and work with our client who is leader in automation and mechanical services based in Thomastown. This role is based onsite in Thomastown for $69.00 per hour + Super & Overtime + $30 per day travel allowance. The hours are 10 am-6 pm for this afternoon shift.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform breakdown repairs on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
- Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Diagnose mechanical problems, troubleshoot malfunctions, and implement effective solutions.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance activities according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Use FIX software to log all jobs completed.

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or similar.
- Experienced in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machinery operation and maintenance principles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing repairs effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a 10 am to 6 pm shift schedule, with overtime as needed.
