We are currently seeking a Floor supervisor to join our talented team.

The Floor Supervisor at Light Years oversees all aspects of front-of-house service, including customer service, section management, and supporting the Venue Manager (VM) and Assistant Venue Manager (AVM) in executing FOH procedures. This hybrid role requires the supervisor to alternate between managing sections and fulfilling higher duty manager responsibilities, fostering teamwork, and delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include managing floor and bar operations, adhering to the Light Years sequence of service, and ensuring food and beverage quality control.

- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with guests.
- Knowledge of wine and Asian cuisine is favorable but not essential.
- Willing to learn in-house cocktails to support the Bar Manager.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- ** Venue Presentation**: Execute venue openings and closings as per Venue Manager standards, including lighting, music, cleanliness, table presentation, and staff uniform standards.
- ** Customer Service**: Handle all customer complaints in the absence of the Venue Manager (VM) and Assistant Venue Manager (AVM), enhancing the guest experience and ensuring adherence to Light Years service standards.
- ** Wine Service**: Educate staff on wine service and basic wine knowledge; continuously improve your own understanding of wine service.
- ** Food Safety**: Ensure all staff are trained in compliance with the Light Years food safety program and maintain high hygiene standards within the restaurant.
- ** Training**: Assist the VM and AVM in training junior and casual FOH staff, conducting regular in-house training sessions and personalized coaching.
- ** Management Meetings**: Participate in weekly meetings with VM and AVM to discuss team feedback and development.
- ** Rostering**: Advise the VM on roster changes and staffing needs for specific days, including public holidays and events.
- ** Reservation System**: Develop a thorough understanding of the reservations system and manage bookings efficiently.
- ** Cash Up**: Complete evening reconciliation and submit the Daily End Of Shift Report (EOSR) to Owners, Ops Managers, VM, and Accounting team.
- ** End Of Shift Report (EOSR)**: Ensure timely distribution of the EOSR, detailing daily sales, labor, incidents, and maintenance needs.
- ** Venue Maintenance**: Record and report broken items or repair needs promptly to the VM.
- ** Checklists**: Complete and regularly review Light Years opening and closing checklists; ensure they are updated, displayed, and checked off.
- ** Deep Cleaning**: Participate in the fortnightly deep cleaning of both FOH and BOH areas as outlined by the VM.
- ** Food & Beverage Knowledge**: Attend all training sessions to fully develop your knowledge of the menu.
- ** Teamwork**: Foster a positive and enjoyable working environment within the team.
