**Payroll Analyst (6-Month Fixed Term Contract Role)**

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking to get involved within project work? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Analyst to join our client on a 6-month fixed term contract. If you thrive on executing payroll-related projects, ensuring compliance, and enhancing system functionality, this role is tailor-made for you.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for spearheading multiple payroll-related projects to ensure seamless execution and compliance. Your key tasks will include
- Conducting in-depth reviews and analyses of TOIL recorded on the time and attendance system.
- Performing meticulous reconciliations of historical wages paid against relevant awards and industrial instruments.
- Conducting a comprehensive data audit of the payroll, ESS, and time and attendance systems.
- Conducting audits of payroll and time and attendance systems to ensure legislative compliance and enhance system functionality.
- Thoroughly documenting essential payroll processes to ensure clarity and consistency.

**Additional Responsibilities**:
In addition to project-related tasks, you will also play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the payroll team. This includes:

- Assisting the payroll team in executing day-to-day payroll tasks and month-end processing.
- Providing exceptional customer service to employees at all levels by promptly and professionally addressing payroll queries.
- Responding to information requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism.
- Undertaking reasonable tasks as directed by your manager.

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex payroll-related challenges.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at various levels.
- Familiarity with project management principles is preferred, enabling you to successfully coordinate and execute projects.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a payroll role, demonstrating a solid foundation in payroll processes and procedures.
- Exposure to systems like Access MicrOpay or similar for efficient payroll management.
- Experience with time and attendance systems such as Mitrefinch or similar systems.
- Previous exposure to Employee Self-Serve systems, e.g., ConnX, would be advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel to analyze and present payroll data effectively.
