**To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years.**

La Trobe University's Department of Languages and Cultures is seeking an exceptional individual to fill a vital role within our dynamic team: an Associate Lecturer in Chinese. This part-time (0.4 FTE) continuing position offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute to and shape our Chinese studies curriculum at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus. **The position**:
As an Associate Lecturer in Chinese, you will:

- Deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences in Chinese language and culture through lectures, tutorials, workshops, and online sessions.
- Contribute to curriculum design and development, ensuring a rich and dynamic learning environment for students.
- Provide insightful, constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues on innovative teaching strategies and curriculum improvements, aiming to enhance student experience and outcomes.
- A PhD (completed or near completion) in a relevant discipline, showcasing deep knowledge and passion for Chinese language and culture.
- Proven excellence in teaching, with a track record of positively impacting student learning and engagement.
- Strong commitment to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, with an ability to innovate and adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a diverse academic community**.**
