**PRIMARY TEACHER - Temporary Part-Time (0.6 FTE)**

A part-time position (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week) exists for a teacher to develop and teach literacy and numeracy programs for small groups of students (K-2) who require additional support with their learning. The successful applicant will ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

- Relevant teaching qualifications and academic accreditation with NESA;
- Post Graduate qualifications in Special Education and/or experience working with students with learning difficulties;
- Adjusting curriculum or approaches to learning and teaching, considering the individual needs of a student;
- Developing and implementing Individual Student Plans, including teaching and learning strategies for the classroom;
- Providing direct, explicit, and intensive teaching for students with specific needs;
- An understanding of how students learn through effective classroom teaching strategies and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team;
- Willingness to participate in the extracurricular life of the College;
- Ability to build a strong rapport with students, parents and staff.

This is a temporary contract for Terms 2-4, 2023.
