The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.

**Duties**
The Field Testing Project Officer is directly responsible for the provision of field testing services associated with the effective design, construction, maintenance and operation of the State’s transport assets.

Duties involve providing technical services to support the directorate’s operations, programs, projects, systems and/or services that may include assessing, commissioning and installing technical equipment and/or the diagnosis and repair of technical faults.

**Requirements**:
Certificate III in Civil Construction.

A current driver’s licence is essential.

Medium Rigid drivers licence (MR) - Desirable.

Work Zone Traffic Management (RIIWHS205D & RIIWHS302D) - Desirable.

Work Health and Safety Construction Induction (White Card) - Desirable

**Special Conditions**

Available to be rostered on call after hours at short notice.

Be willing to travel including working on sites remote from your home depot, which will necessitate overnight absences.

Must be physically fit and able to perform the duties.

This role is a dual call and is being advertised at the TGO3 and OPS5 classification levels, in which the successful applicant will be appointed at the classification level commensurate with their skills and experience. Please refer to Job Reference: 531519.

**Tenure of Vacancy**
Temporary appointment up to 12 months

**Remuneration**
OPS5 - $79,682 to $85,183 per annum
