The Customer Services Officer is a role within Community Investment and Support and is accountable to the Program Manager for:

- providing an efficient, effective, and timely service to clients on all matters relating to eligibility for state government concessions
- providing relevant, accurate information, and advice including recording of information pertaining to clients
- contributing to the achievement of high quality customer service, and the goals and objectives of Concessions and Support Services (CASS) and the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Key outcomes and accountabilities
1. Provide a comprehensive telephone service for CASS clients including providing relevant information, and inputting and maintaining client details on the database.
2. Provide accurate assessment of client requests for appropriate provision of entitlements.

4. Provide advice that complies with CASS policy, procedures and guidelines.
5. Regularly update files, data and computerised systems to maintain accurate records.
6. Provide support to clients by sensitively handling complex and emotional requests for assistance.
7. Participate in regular training to support ongoing personal skills development.
Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.

About the Business

Community Investment and Support is responsible for the provision of many vital services to the South Australian public to help build stronger and better-connected communities. The division provides screening of those who work with children or vulnerable people, as well as procurement of goods and services for the department, including important social services from the not-for profit sector.

The division also provides grants and commissions services to promote economic participation, as well as a range of concessions to the community, and interpreting and translating services to both public and private organisations.

**Salary Range**: $56,987 - $61,301 (ASO2)
