We are looking foran experienced** Despatch Supervisor** **to join our Warehouse & Distribution team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for:
**About the role**:
- Supervises warehouse staff and daily activities in designated key areas
- Allocates orders to staff to be picked, packed and dispatched in a timely manner.
- Works with drivers to ensure trucks are loaded and dispatched to schedule.
- Ensures goods are booked in and dispatched with courier companies.
- Communicates with customers and couriers.
- Investigates and problem solves through issues.
- Participates in stock takes as required.
- Works with Inbound team to ensure picking bays and shelves are properly stocked.
- Creates delivery documentation that accurately reflects the items ordered and shipped.
- Maintains the cleanliness of work areas and warehouse including outside area at all times.
- Continually seeks ways to improve service and efficiencies through systems, people and technology and recommend improvements.
- Assists the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and senior management as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Duties around safety, compliance etc**:
- Ensures the safety of oneself and others by following all Quality, Work Health & Safety, and Environment legislation and regulatory requirements of GME.
- Works in accordance with standard operating procedures and established criteria.
- Reports and escalates (compliance) concerns, issues, and failures.
**About you**:
- 5 years in previous warehousing or logistics roles with team leadership experience.
- Experience with Lean or other operations improvements methodologies preferred.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and ERP principles.
- Effective communication and people management skills.
- Strong analytical and process management skills.
- Proficiency with international and domestic freight and logistics
- Ability to manage multifaceted stakeholder / supplier relationships in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Ability to manage a team of Storespersons
- Forklift license desirable.
- Computer skills (Intermediate Microsoft Office)
