**About the role**:
It is an exciting period of growth for Aurizon Bulk NSW. Your direct operational experience in a similar role will be highly valued as you develop bulk transport solutions for Aurizon's bulk commodity customer base and assigned regional portfolio. The Aurizon Bulk NSW Business Development and Commercial team offers a supportive team culture which promotes a degree of role autonomy and flexible work arrangements.

**You will**:

- Use your substantial knowledge and experience of the rail network providers infrastructure and connecting supply chain infrastructure, to support the development of innovative customer value propositions through competitive transport alternatives.
- Demonstrate a high level of ability to synergise resources and assets to ensure optimal utilisation and return on operating capital investment.
- Coordinate development of the operational transport solution to ensure maximisation of asset utilization, productivity of the overall transport solution design and achieves customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with business units to support cost-effective transport supply chain solutions that achieve growth targets and business objectives.
- Build quality relationships with operational industry stakeholders to deliver innovative and executable operational solutions that support the commercial processes and customer negotiations.
- Ensure all capacity planning achieves necessary safety and regulatory guidelines relative to the operational environment where the transport solutions are to be executed.
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver effective and commercially viable solutions to access issues that support core business and customer objectives.

**About you**:

- Substantial operational experience, preferably in rail, road transport, or supply chain design industry.
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle road transport will be advantageous.
- Hold an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Demonstrate a high level of resilience with the ability to handle competing demands.
- Highly proficient in operational problem identification and problem solving.
