Bakery Supervisor

**Position Summary**
Oversees employees to ensure proper departmental production procedures and standards are followed. Participates in baking, decorating, wrapping and general sanitation duties. Checks quality and consistency of finished product. Implements and upholds proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous customer service.
**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Develops, coaches, counsels, and directs Bakery personnel. Provides feedback to promote team work and accountability among employees.
- Interactively monitors Bakery employee performance and participates in performance reviews as needed. Implements and upholds proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Monitors health code compliance. Coordinates activities to achieve sales and merchandising goals for department.
- Checks quality and consistency of finished product. Oversees and participates in product presentation and merchandising.
- Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery, equipment, and implements.
- Assists with physical inventory periodically. Assists with orders to Buying Office for equipment, product, and supplies.
- Follows Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position. Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and Bakery Department.
- Assists in other areas of the Bakery and departments of the warehouse as necessary.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to drivers, members, employees, and suppliers.
- Assists in rostering and minimising D&D in the department

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery_**
- Computer, phone, copier, calculator, wheeled racks, proofing boxes, ovens, large power mixer, muffin depositor, wrapping machine, food processor, pallet jack.
**Non-Essential Functions**
- Assists with front end duties and in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary.
Education/Training: Higher School Certificate
Licenses/Certifications: None
Experience/ Skills: Supervisory, bakery, leadership, employee relations, customer service or comparable experience. Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets), good communication, Strong interpersonal, organisation, math and problem solving skills.
