On behalf of our client, Spring Professional now have an exciting opportunity available as Assistant Retail Manager working at a well known shopping centre in Melbourne's West.

This role will support the Retail Manager to manage the centre effectively by way of excellent retailer relations, marketing and overall running of the centre. The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for building and driving retailers & stakeholder relationships, in alignment with the centre and company objectives.

Key responsibilities of the position:

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and business plans for the asset
- Implementation of the retailer engagement strategy
- Critical retailer management including debtors
- Relationship and operational management of retailers
- Assessing the performance of retailers and identifying opportunities to improve sales levels
- Maintaining positive relations with retailers, customers, suppliers, local government and other important stakeholders
- Ensure efficient collection of monthly retailer sales figures and coordinate the preparation of monthly sales reports
- Meet with retailers on a regular basis to discuss marketing requirements for their business
- Experience in a shopping centre environment adventageous
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Initiative, professionalism & persistence
