Horse Trainer

Pride Racing is currently seeking a highly experienced and capable person to join our stable at Warwick Farm NSW. The position will be full-time.

Horse Trainer/Rider-2nd Foreperson - able to ride 8 -10 horses per morning (riding pace/timed work). The role will require the person to work afternoons and take responsibility for the stable in the Head trainer/forepersons absence.

The salary will be in the range of **$62,000 to $72,000** per annum.

**Essential Skills**:
All applicants must have a minimum of 3-year full time professional experience in the role and be able to prove you are reliable workers with excellent horsemanship skills. In addition, the following will be required:

- Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing
- Proven ability to train and educate young horses
- Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information to junior staff
- Ability to work in a team and independently and proven management experience
- Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment
- Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses

**Desirable Qualification**:

- A Certificate III or equivalent international qualification
