Senior HR Business Partner - State Government

About the Opportunity:
Our client is Western Australia’s major human services department that brings together vital services and functions that support individual, family and community wellbeing.

As a Senior HR Business Partner within the Business Partnering team you will work closely with client groups and your colleagues on a range of people and workforce issues as well as be responsible for supporting the implementation of key human resource projects and initiatives.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Partner with executives and management, drawing on business knowledge, workforce data and other information sources to enhance workforce capability.
- Produce, analyse and provide recommendations on workforce information to executives and management to ensure effective establishment management practices.
- Collaborate and contribute to the effective delivery of HR solutions, including improving the use of HR metrics to inform and drive business improvement in support of the departments workforce strategy, staff engagement and culture.
- Provide expert contemporary HR advice and business partnering services to managers and staff on a range of workforce matters including:

- Recruitment and selection,
- Employment conditions,
- Governance and HR policy,
- Employee relations (performance and conduct),
- Learning and capability development, and
- Equity and diversity.
- Analyse and challenge current business practices and procedures and recommend improvements to these in line with strategic business direction and HR management legislative requirements.
- Lead, or actively contribute, to significant workforce projects and collaborate and consult with key stakeholders and partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
