**About us**

We exist for better days inspired by iconic flavour. It’s been three decades since Allpress set up their first independent coffee cart, buying a second-hand roaster and embarking on a bold entrepreneurial journey fueled by passion and the search for great flavour. Our little coffee cart helped introduce specialty coffee to New Zealand and changed the drinking habits of a nation. Today, we roast coffee for the best independent cafés in the world.

**About the role**

Working alongside the Roastery Manager, our Roastery 2IC helps lead a team of 9 in all areas of production, packing, shipping, stock movement, cleaning and administration at our Zetland Roastery warehouse.

A typical day might look like:

- Hold morning meeting delegating the team’s daily priorities, goals and set tasks
- Prepare all orders, courier deliveries and Allpress Van runs to allow stock to be delivered on time and managed smoothly
- Communicate with our Customer Service team to ensure a high level of accuracy with customer orders, invoices and requirements across Australia and Singapore
- Coordinate roasting and green coffee handling to help fulfill daily orders and support the wider team.
- Manage recipes and roast profiles in close coordination with Head roaster.
- Manage the regular cleaning and maintenance of all roasting equipment for safety and optimal performance
- Drive fork lift to re stock, replace and load pallets in the factory and on freight trucks and assist with unloading and loading delivery vans

**About you**

You’ll be a highly organized team player with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills.

To nail this role you’ll need:

- Experience managing teams with the ability to build trust and maintain morale
- A background in warehouse or logistics - familiarity with freight platforms such as Parcel-send, CHEP, ERP/WMS systems and inventory control
- Both a car and forklift license
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to lift 20kg and be ok standing for longer periods
- Previous coffee roasting industry experience desirable but not essential
