**About the role**:
Are you a data-analysing cloud whiz who wants to work for a company where the sky is the limit for opportunity?

This is an exciting newly-established role brought about by our cloud-first strategy, to introduce a standardised approach to cloud expense management and cost optimisation. You will be fundamental in defining, establishing and managing the financial management practices across Suncorp’s rapidly expanding multi-cloud landscape. Working with multiple stakeholders and as the conduit between the business and IT, your goal is to assist in realising the maximum business value of cloud expenditure.

**What you’ll do**:

- Implement and perform FinOps functions/practices, working with an array of key stakeholders to embed these practices into their day-to-day operations
- Proactively identify blockers in customers realising value from cloud platforms and assist in developing relevant solutions.
- Demonstrate valuable leadership on a variety of initiatives and projects
- Data analysis, creating self-service and executive level dashboards and reports for cloud cost consumption and optimisation tracking
- Manage operational/project budget planning and costs for the cloud platforms

**What you’ll bring**:

- 5+ years of demonstrated public cloud knowledge and experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong data/financial analysis and reporting skills
- Experience with public cloud financial components/concepts, eg cost & usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.
- Experience with establishing and/or operating cost optimisation initiatives across complex Platform & Cloud environments focusing on key levers
- Experience with establishing cloud chargeback and/or showback for business units/projects to be accountable for their cloud usage/spend
- Experience with interrogating billing & usage data to create key cost insights and reports/dashboards across Cloud, License, Partner & Operational budgets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a can-do attitude
