**Assistant Insights Advisor, 6-month temporary role**

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Insights, you will support in delivering meaningful, actionable customer insights, to generate positive outcomes and make a difference to our 8 million+ customers.

CSD sits in a wider division of the Department of Customer Service (DCS). DCS is a central agency - that is, we sit across all government agencies with the task of promoting the voice of the customer to ensure their voices are heard and to build better outcomes for the people of NSW.

In Customer Insights, our core focus is bringing the voice of the customer to decision making across the whole-of-NSW Government.

**Our team’s remit includes**:

- Facilitating and implementing insights-led decision making across whole-of-government to support policy development, investment prioritisation, communication strategies and service improvements that place the customer at the centre of everything that we do.
- Partnering with other government agencies to identify and solve customer problems to deliver better policy and streamlined services enabling world class customer experiences.
- Driving and delivering a single view of NSW Government customers.
- Guiding the whole-of-government in best practice research and insights.
- The sector leading insights team for NSW government to advise senior government decision makers on what the community is thinking, feeling, saying, and doing.
- Working closely with our whole-of-government communications team, customer engagement teams and our world class Data Analytics Centre (DAC) and Advanced Analytics Platforms (AAP) - you will not find another business with this breadth, capability, and ability to make difference to the lives and experiences of the 8 million+ people of NSW.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Supporting the end-to-end management of ongoing customer research programs, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of data.
- Supporting in data analysis and using available customer data sources to develop actionable insights for whole-of-government to improve customer experience.
- Preparing and delivering reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Designing best practice questionnaires which get to the heart of an issue.
- Contributing to continuous process improvements and better ways-of-working to drive efficiency.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- At least 2 years customer insights experience working either agency side or client side.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as business, research, psychology, social sciences, or communications and/or experience in a related role.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with both internal and external parties.
- Experience working under tight deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse, synthesise and draw insights out of multiple data sources.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
- Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experience in using Q Research software for data analysis preferable.

Salary Clerk Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $89,707 base plus superannuation
