Carpentry Apprenticeships

This is a full time position. As an apprentice you will undertake a Certificate 3 in Carpentry, this is a 4 year apprenticeship. As an apprentice you will learn on the job to become a skilled and qualified carpenter.

The main role of a carpenter is to construct, erect, install, finish and repair wooden and steel structures/fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. You may also undertake the following:

- Carry out general demolition of minor building structures
- Construct wall and ceiling frames
- Carry out measurements and calculations
- Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
- Read and interpret plans and specifications

To be considered for a carpentry apprenticeship the following is required:

- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical
- Hold a current provisional or full drivers licence due to changing sites
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team
- Hold a current white card or be willing to obtain one prior to starting

- Weekend availability
