**Junior Bath and Dryer - Dog Grooming Assistant**

Fur Us pet grooming salon, we have been established for 5 years, and we are looking for a passionate, reliable, responsible animal lover as Assistant Groomer/ Bath and Dryer to help and assist with our day to day clients

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Bathing and Drying dogs
- Trimming nails
- Drying dogs and brushing the dogs coat ready for grooming
- Flexible working hours, must be available to work Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm
- Ensure the dog is washed with the shampoo and conditioner specific for coat conditions
- Being calm and assist with calming any nervous/anxious dogs
- Responsible for safe, caring and efficient pet handling
- Ability and confident working autonomously and unsupervised.
- Ability to work within a small team environment
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environments, and strong customer relationship skills
- General housekeeping, cleaning, washing towels and picking up an accidents

- Not nervous to handle any dog and any size
- Physically able to stand on your feet
- Work within a supportive team
- Able to use good judgment and alert grooming staff of any anomalies within the dogs coat or condition.
- High degree of independent decision-making and problem-solving capability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Must be physically fit to lift dogs 20kg +, stand for extended periods of time and perform requirements of the job.

If you have a passion for dogs and working in a great team environment. Previous experience would be desirable but not essential.

COVID-19 considerations:
We will provide a phone call interview first, and if make the shortlist, we will ask you to come into the salon for face to face interview, you will be required to follow the government covid precautions and wear a mask at all times
