**About the team**

Our continued investment in the **Private **Wealth **business brings broader opportunities to our clients and leverages the strong relationships with our corporate banking, business banking and retail banking businesses. This role will sit within Commonwealth Private’s Wealth team, supporting the Investment Research Team, Distribution Team, Advice Team and Platform Operations Team.

**About the opportunity**

As a member of the Investment Operations Team, and reporting into the Senior Manager - Investment Operations, the **Investment Management Operations Analyst **is a key contributor to the delivery of quality operational outcomes for the broader Private Wealth offering.

In this role you will gain exposure to the full breadth of deliverables of the Investment Research Team within the Private Wealth business. Some of the responsibilities of this role include:

- Supporting the delivery of product development initiatives within the Private Wealth space.
- Helping to embed risk and control governance uplift within the Investment Research Team and broader business.
- Driving the review and uplift of internal processes and procedures to deliver operational efficiencies.
- Supporting asset class specialists to conduct investment research and fund manager due diligence.
- Enabling the effective operation of governance forums including the Product Management Committee and Board Investment Committee.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Analyse, develop, and enhance the operational framework for the Investment Research Team within Private Wealth.
- Utilise agile ways of working, including Jira and Confluence, to help support efficient business operations and timely delivery of initiatives.
- Support the development of procedures and processes for efficient investment delivery and to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of Approved and Non-approved Product Lists.
- Support the delivery of exemplary Investment Governance across the Private Wealth offering.
- Support a range of product development initiatives within the Private Wealth business.
- Gather and analyse financial data from a variety of sources and preparing investment reports on findings.

**About you**

To be successful, you will have:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or Business.
- 5+ years’ experience as a product, investment or business analyst in the wealth or financial markets sector.
- Experience in agile methods within product management and project delivery.
- Good understanding of risk identification and control design methods.
- Understanding of wholesale validation and wealth management distribution models.
- Understanding of the investment process, the range of investment markets and financial instruments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Diligent paper writing and editing skills, including having a keen eye for detail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, and strong competency using Microsoft Office and Atlassian software.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and to take ownership of tasks.
