**Manager, Fleet**:

- The Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) are seeking a highly energised, vibrant, and dynamic leader to join our team as the Manager, Fleet. The Manager, Fleet is responsible for leading the overall operations and maintenance of the fleet and ensuring its availability for public services. This work includes effective and efficient resource planning and management in line with the Museum’s vessel management plans, budget management, vessel operational programs, employee management and the oversight of Work Health and Safety in the management and operations of the Museums vessels.The key duties of the position include:
**High level overview of responsibilities**:

- Lead all Fleet services and operational matters relating to the Museum fleet of vessels.
- Develop opportunities for the use of the operational vessels to promote the Museum and its objectives; to enhance, by their presence, historical or significant events; for educational or social purposes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximise visitor access to the vessels and contribute to business and operational planning to support the use of vessels for commercial outcomes as wharf side visitor/event platforms and sailing/cruising experiences.
- For each Fleet vessel, maintain a safety management plan that details procedures for its safe operation, safe working environment for staff, including allowed areas of operation, minimum manning levels, crew qualifications and/or experience and the maximum number of passengers that can be carried.
- Establish and maintain protocols for the berthing of visiting vessels and support an ongoing visiting vessels program to aid site activation and renewal of public offer.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing the operation, repair and maintenance of historic vessels.
- Detailed knowledge of the maritime regulatory framework for the safe operation of commercial vessels.
