As they continue to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Buyer/ Planner with strong excel and numeracy skills to contribute to their growth success.

As an Assistant Buyer, you'll be an integral part of our purchasing team, responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Your expertise in excel and numeracy will enable you to analyze data effectively, make informed decisions, and support the overall success of our company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Determine order quantities, considering product categorization, stock availability, and budget constraints - oversee all replenishment buys
- Manage purchase and transfer orders, tracking delivery schedules and backorders to optimize inventory across all outlets.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct analysis to recommend reorder points and prevent stockouts.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate efficient replenishment.
- Manage vendor communications and oversee order-related queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Supplier Master Data File.
- Provide regular updates to the Buyer on market trends, competitor pricing, supplier performance, and inventory status.
- Manage the efficient flow of communication with external and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the resolution of department challenges, focusing on long-term solutions.
- Provide varied administrative assistance and handle ad hoc tasks.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite and GSuite, particularly Excel and Sheets.
- Ability to organize extensive data from multiple reports using Excel & Sheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly pivot and adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

**Beneficial but not essential**
- Experience with systems like iSync Solutions, Retail Express, NetSuite, and SAP.
- Experience in multi-category retail buying or inventory management.
- Background or interest in the hobby & toy industry.
