A new opportunity has become available to join our team in Kwinana. Reporting to the State Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep of general electrical maintenance. You will also rectify any issues including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and oversight of electrical contractors.

You will work on a 6.00am-3.30pm roster (with potential for overtime work). You will be rewarded with ongoing mentoring opportunities, career progression and working for a sustainable growing business with class-leading technology.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Completing repairs in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring machine availability
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Recommend and implement improvements to plant and work practices
- Maintain Documentation and accuracy of each site’s High Voltage Safety Management Plan.
- Participate in upskilling and additional training of the electrical workforce to increase knowledge and function of new technologies used throughout the business. Develop further knowledge to ensure basic PLC troubleshooting can be performed.
- Ensure Metal Recovery equipment, specifically Metal Sorters are maintained to a high level to promote increased recovery through optimum performance of each machine.
- Working with other tradespeople to complete repairs
- Ability to work overtime in case of break down and plant shutdown as required

**Essential Criteria**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ work experience with maintenance and fault-finding in a heavy industry environment
- Electrical Workers Licence with PLC experience
- Computer skills - Excel / Word / Teams / MS suite
- Experience with CMMS Platforms, specifically MEX and / or SAP.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently

**Desirable criteria**:

- Forklift and EWP Licence
- Instrumentation Licence (tools testing)
