Project Officer - Regulatory Governance
- Salary: $55,439 - $71,194 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term until 30 June 2023

As part of the Machinery of Government changes announced by the Premier of Victoria, from 1 January 2023, the Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions (DJPR) has been renamed Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR). As part of these changes this position will transfer to the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).
The Team
The position of Project Officer - Regulatory Governance forms a part of the Earth Resources Regulation Unit, within the Resources Branch of the Forestry, Resources and Climate Change Group.
The Forestry, Resources and Climate Change (FRCC) group develops policy, programs and regulation to enable investment and generate jobs through the sustainable development of the state's earth resources, forestry and game. The group leads delivery of departmental obligations under the Climate Change Act 2017 and contributes to whole-of-government work on climate change and energy reform.
The Resources Branch develops policy, programs and regulation to enable investment and generate jobs through the sustainable development of the State's earth resources. This is undertaken by acquiring and providing access to high quality geoscience data and knowledge, supporting investment in resources and low emission technologies, and regulating the earth resources sector through transparent processes.
Earth Resources Regulation performs a range of regulatory functions for the use of earth resources, including:

- Authorising access to Crown-owned materials
- Conducting education, monitoring and enforcement to ensure operator's compliance with relevant standards

The Role
The Project Officer - Regulatory Governance co-ordinates the day-to-day business requirements of the Regulatory Governance team including implementation and monitoring of minor project plans and schedules, and co-ordination of meetings across regional and Melbourne CBD offices of Earth Resources Regulation.

**Other key accountabilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide administrative and support to Regulatory Governance including co-ordination of team and unit meetings
- Support the delivery of a range of Earth Resources Regulations projects, events and activities across Melbourne CBD and regional offices
- Maintain accurate data, records, databases and information management systems
- Maintain knowledge of department's systems, procedures and processes to guide work and track progress

This position reports to the Director, Regulatory Governance.
About You
- A current driver's licence
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Content Manager and SharePoint
- Experience in implementation and coordination of minor projects
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Sound level of organisational skills
- Good level of interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders

Whilst not essential, relevant business/administration qualifications would be well regarded.
