The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal network strategies and place plans across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

**The opportunity**

We have an exciting fixed term full time contract opportunity till 28/06/24 for a Test Lead to join the Customer Strategy & Technology division in the Technology and Innovation branch based at Elizabeth Street Office.

This role is responsible for leading the ongoing technical testing, issue identification, reporting, resolution and release management within a project team for seamless business operation over multiple web platform projects.

Working within a small dynamic team, they will have the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work. But most importantly, you will love working in an Agile environment where you are involved from design through to implementation, can communicate effectively at all levels and love finding answers, not being provided them.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Leading a test team that collaborates with several teams of developers and designers to build and deploy unique features on the customer travel journey web platforms like Transport.info and Transport Connect
- This specific role will require you to:

- Lead and also be hands on.
- Analyse internal and external systems for the creation and implementation of manual test scripts (there will also be some involvement in automated testing).
- Writing test cases,
- Preparing plans and schedules.
- Work within Agile delivery team and interact with development team members, SMEs, operators and various users across multiple test phases.
- Ensure testing outcomes are delivered in accordance with quality and performance requirements.
- Ensure support is provided for meetings with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Documenting all agreed action plans to enable informed decision making and follow up by the Manager
- Creating test completion reports to track testing metrics.
- Release Management.
- Provide technical advice and expertise to conduct functional feasibility and validity analysis.

**About you**
- Degree in Software Engineering and experience in XML or HTML would be highly regarded
- Excellent understanding of web based technology.
- Complex technical web testing experience.
- Experience in (highly regarded)
- Testing Web services API endpoints Json/XML with postman - understanding of APIs
- Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, AWS.
- Agile/SCRUM Lifecycle testing and validation
- CMS system Drupal
- Mocking Application Fiddler, NVDA, Beyond compare.
- Testing Tools - Browserstack, Google analytics, GTM, Front end UI design testing, accessibility testing
- Confluence, Jira, Zephier,
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and work collaboratively to resolve issues
- Strong communication skills and analytical ability
- Experience in Leading agile testing teams.
- Experienced in writing test documentation (test plans, test scripts, test results)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills characterised by attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of relevant stakeholders or stakeholder representatives.
- Sound written, verbal, reporting and presentation skills.
- Ability to comfortably balance needs to work autonomously with being an active team member.
- You are someone who goes the extra mile to ensure great outcomes.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
