About the Opportunities

As a Production Planner you are responsible for assisting development of production schedules for a discipline, developing and releasing work orders to Production in accordance with the production shop schedules, and assisting monitoring and reporting of cost and schedule performance for the shop against the production schedule and allocated budgets.

**In addition to the above you will**:

- Report work order progress and track WIP and material shortages according to production schedule
- Oversee activities related to handling delivery delays, confirming accuracy of inventory available in stores and in the shop floor, required tooling and paperwork among departments
- Monitor aspects of production shop floor processes affecting work order progress such as BoM & route changes, product priority direction and quality control requirement
- Flag issues and follow through closure of production issues to maintain product flow to stay on schedule and ensure delivery requirements are met
- Maintain and report on production status utilising the ERP system and LOB charts
- Ensure the project has what it needs to complete its work on time in order to stay on schedule and meet critical delivery timelines
- Maintain up to date production issue lists and updates on work progress
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering to assists in expediting work orders and product priorities
- Following established guidelines, instructions, policies and procedure related to Safety Protocols, NCR, Quality Audit/Control, Planning Schedule Changes

About you

**As ideal applicants for these opportunities, you'll have**:

- Trades certificates (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) OR planning experience
- Demonstrated experience in a planning capacity
- Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with project and production teams
- Knowledge of effective use of planning process, tools and infrastructure
- Ability to function confidently within a team environment
- Demonstrated self-motivation and a proactive approach to progressing all assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Security Clearance Australian Citizenship, eligible for Defence clearance
