We are currently seeking a passionate Store Person to become a valued member of our team at Mount Thorley Warkworth. As part of the Warehouse team, you will be responsible for providing timely and professional warehousing support services to our operation across all locations including North/South Warehouse and CHPP’s.

We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia.

Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is one of the largest open pit operations in the area. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both draglines and load haul systems as the current and preferred mining method. Our site operates continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week and has a long and proud history, employing approximately 1350 people from local and surrounding communities, who are our most valuable asset.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:
Further responsibilities includes issuing stores material, maintaining stock level, receipting and processing goods in a safe and effective manner that enables our operation to deliver our site plans and targets.
We have a range of rosters available including Monday to Friday day shift and rotating Lifestyle roster (4/5).

**Skills and Experience**:

- To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Warehouse and /or Logistics Supply Chain operations;
- Industry relevant qualifications (high risk tickets i.e. forklift licence);
- Manual Driver’s Licence;
- Exposure to Chain of Responsibility;
- Proven ability in driving operational efficiencies through effective teamwork and innovation;
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively across a variety of stakeholders;
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritise and organise effectively;
- Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written;
- Focus on safety and strong knowledge in safe work practices.
- Desirable criteria:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Warehousing/Supply/ Logistics (Cert II or Cert III);
- Experience using SAP;
- Knowledge and exposure to open cut mining or relevant heavy industry;
- Dangerous Goods Handling Certification; and
- Experience in Lean and 5S process’s.
