Scholarly Services Librarians are responsible for the delivery of expert Library services that facilitate productive and impactful relationships with students, academics, and professional staff and support the digital literacy and scholarly information needs of the university community, supporting successful outcomes in work and study.

Each Scholarly Services Librarian will be appointed to support a particular discipline or cluster of disciplines and will also be required to contribute to programs across other disciplines where operationally required.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Distilling the core issues from complex information, draws accurate conclusions and condense complex information and next steps into simple concise terms that others can understand
- Demonstrating a high level of learning, energy and commitment and maintain personal integrity and make decisions consistent with University values
- Investigate and probe for the facts and identify relevant solutions and select the most appropriate from the range of alternatives
- Planning and prioritising work and critical activities appropriately and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes, finds effective ways to deal with them and evaluate progress
- Providing ethical advice to clients that address underlying issues, promoting value-adding insights and recommendations
- Communicating with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support
- Building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders both inside and outside the University
- Coaching, guiding and supporting team members as needed to deliver against individual, team and University goals

***To be successful, you’ll have**:

- Degree and/or postgraduate qualifications in library and information science conferring eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in specified discipline/s or industries
- Advanced knowledge of digital literacy programs and pedagogies 3 Position Description Scholarly Services Librarian

- Knowledge of expert searching and systematic reviews
- Knowledge of open education principles and practices
- Knowledge of scholarly communication and publishing
- Experience in the design and delivery of face to face and online Library workshops and modules
