We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate Policy Officer to join the Justice Branch within the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The core duties of the role include providing high quality policy advice and analysis to the Premier, the Secretary, DPC executives and other senior officers across a range of issues within the Branch.

The role requires a proactive self-starter with good understanding of government processes and an ability to work in a complex, sensitive and fast paced environment.

You will also have demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
- Demonstrated policy skills, analysing and critically evaluating information and the potential implications and risks of proposed policy options.
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesise information from a range of sources and events.
- Highly developed influence and negotiation skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with varied stakeholders.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
