**About the Opportunity**

This role has end to end responsibility for the architecture and commercial functions within Endeavour Technology. In partnership with the Transformation Director this role will define the governance framework for Endeavour’s technology transformation and has sole responsibility for defining governance for programs and projects outside of transformation.

Endeavour is embarking on a large-scale end to end technology transformation and this leader will play a key role in successfully delivering that transformation and step changing Endeavour’s technology capabilities.

**A day in the life of a General Manager - Architecture & Governance**:

- Strategy_
- Develop a strong understanding of the Endeavour strategies
- Contribute to the development of the Endeavour Technology strategy and technology investment and policy decisions.
- Architecture_
- Develop and own Enterprise Architecture for Endeavour including consideration of data, integration, security, infrastructure, minimisation of technology debt and includes transition states throughout the technology transformation
- Ensure benchmarking and external expertise and assurance in the development of Enterprise Architecture and manage scope and deliverables across relevant partners
- Manage the implementation of a pragmatic Architecture Governance Framework
- Ensure technology decisions at Endeavour are aligned to the target state architecture and progressively simplify and modernise Endeavour’s technology landscape and reduce the total cost of ownership
- Analyse the current business and technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
- Develop and lead a Solution Architecture Practice that enables our technology domains and program and project teams and effectively supports solution option selection
- Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise.
- Through this work support the development of 5+ year technology roadmaps for each of Endeavour’s technology domains
- Governance & Policy_
- In partnership with the Transformation Director this role will define the governance framework for Endeavour’s technology transformation
- Sole responsibility for defining governance for programs and projects outside of transformation
- Ensure these frameworks are development in collaboration with the technology leadership team, effectively communicated and supported by appropriate tools
- Support Domain leads to ensure program and project delivery is aligned to our governance approach and program and projects are audit ready and have appropriate external assurance
- Develop and lead a Technology Project Management Practice that enables our technology domains and effectively supports program and project delivery
- Lead and facilitate the development of the Endeavour technology policy framework and policies
- Commercial_
- Lead the commercial function for Endeavour Technology ensuring Endeavour’s technology contracts meet commercial, technology and business and legal objectives
- In partnership with legal, procurement and finance teams to ensure appropriate management and governance of contracts, purchase to pay and renewal decisions
- Planning, budgeting and forecasting for the functional areas
- Improve the efficiency of the functional area over time and support management of the total cost of ownership of Endeavour technology
- Risk management_
- Partner with the technology leadership team to identify, assess, categorise and mitigate technology risk
- Ensure architecture, commercial and governance risks are appropriately captured in the Endeavour risk management framework
- Technology operations_
- Partner with Infrastructure and Services to understand challenges in the current technology landscape and support addressing these through both short-term and long-term plans
- Thought leadership and innovation_
- Provide technology thought leadership and appropriate industry-leading practices
- Enable innovation and POC’s to define target state architecture, governance frameworks and
