**Data and Reporting Analyst**, you will be exposed to a variety of viewpoints of our Digital Technology Solutions department. These include planning, delivery, governance, support and architecture. You will utilise our data tooling (including Snowflake, Matillion, PowerBI and AWS, amongst others) to help compile, integrate, analyse and communicate data-driven insights into our departmental performance.

Based in
**Brisbane**, this role will involve assisting with the analytical value stream of identifying data sources, ingesting them into our Data Warehouse, building data models, creating dashboards and other visualisations, and communicating insights gained from these views.

Your enthusiasm for data-driven decision making and driving continuous improvement, will be instrumental in contributing to the success of our Digital Technology Solutions team.

This is a great opportunity to develop a wholistic understanding of an IT department, the software delivery process, data warehousing, data visualisation, agile ways of working and how IT contributes to broader business objectives.

**What you’ll bring**

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

- A strong understanding of how data is stored in databases and used;
- An understanding of the SQL language;
- An understanding of the Python language;
- An understanding of Data Warehousing and data pipelines;
- Basic experience working with or knowledge of Scaled Agile teams and Agile delivered solutions;
- Experience in creation and maintenance of consistent and carefully considered, accessible and well documented data sets and visualisations;
- An understanding of Agile performance data and metrics and how they drive behaviour and outcomes;
- Ability to problem-solve and think beyond the process or task;
- Ability to utilise data gathering tools to collect and refine data;
- Ability to analyse, interpret and share insights, enabling the continuous improvement process;
- Adherence to best practice processes and frameworks;
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office and Atlassian toolsets;
- Experience navigating Jira and knowledge of the Jira database (SQL) and Jira APIs;
- Data visualisation skills (Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau);
- Software development understanding, including scripting tools (Python, Javascript etc);
- General understanding of Value Stream models, Lean, Six Sigma and other methodologies and frameworks and how they can be measured;
- Desire to stay abreast of best-practice Agile, DevOps, Change Management and other relevant disciplines;
- Experience or a solid interest in data analytics, data modelling and data storytelling; and
- Previous Energy Industry knowledge, or an interest to learn the industry.
