We are seeking a Disability Support Worker for casual shifts around Mascot (NSW) with the potential of further shifts.

The Support Worker role ensures that delivery of supports is aligned with participant’s goals as well as with ECS values and model of Service Partnership, promoting a capacity building and community development approach which leverages the resources and knowledge of Evercare Community Services lived experience including staff, volunteers, mentors, coaches, community networks and connections.

Support Workers have the privilege of working alongside people every day to ensure they are living a full and active life both in the community and in their home. Our support workers are passionate in assisting our clients with activities of daily living as determined by the needs of their Plan. These include but are not limited to:

- Building Independence; assist participants in building their confidence and empowering their ability to make choices confidently or competently
- Social Support; transporting to appointments, activities to help the participant engage in learning
- Personal Care; overall personal hygiene maintenance

**Experience working alongside following is essential**:

- **Acquired Brain Injury**:

- **Traumatic Brain Injury**:

- **Mental Health Experience**

If you have a caring personality and are passionate in making a positive difference in the lives of our clients then this may be the perfect role for you.
- Current Driver’s License and own vehicle
- Experience in dealing with Participants with complex behaviours requiring restrictive practices
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- A minimum of two (2) employment references (mandatory)
- NDIS Workers Orientation module certificate
- Vaccination against Covid-19 vaccine mandatory

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
