**Role Status**: Full-Time Term Vacancy until 1 March 2024
**Remuneration**: AHP2 ($85,665 - $99,241 p.a + 10.5% Super)

The Department for Child Protection is seeking an **Aboriginal Practitioner** to join the Therapeutic Support Team on a full-time term basis.

The role is responsible for:

- Supporting strategies to assist the development of Aboriginal kinship carer knowledge and skills and maintenance of carer resilience.
- Establishing and maintaining professional networks to promote the sharing of knowledge, professional development and collaboration between agencies.
- Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with the Aboriginal community and other key stakeholders in order to achieve quality outcomes for Aboriginal kinship carers, children and young people.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in client files by documenting all assessments, plans, programs and outcomes achieved in line with professional standards.

**About You**

A demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal children and young people with developmental and trauma related needs will be key to your success in this role. If you are interested in working with Aboriginal children, families and the community to improve outcomes for children and young people at risk, then this may be the role for you.

**Essential Qualifications**: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or related field.
