**Position Overview**:
As a Kitchen Attendant at Garden of Vegan, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, assisting with food processing and meal preparation, and ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Processing**: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and other food processing tasks as directed by the chefs and sous chefs.
- **Sealing Meals**: Operate meal sealing equipment to ensure that prepared meals are properly sealed and ready for storage or distribution.
- **Portioning Meals**: Accurately portion meals according to specified guidelines, ensuring consistency, food safety and adherence to portion sizes.
- **Assisting Chefs and Sous Chefs**: Provide support to the chefs and sous chefs as needed, including fetching ingredients, preparing basic components, and assisting with other kitchen tasks.
- **Food Safety and Hygiene**: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following protocols to prevent contamination.
- **Cleaning**: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by washing dishes, cleaning equipment, sanitizing work surfaces, and ensuring that all areas are free from clutter and waste.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing tasks that require manual dexterity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $28.26 - $33.76 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
