**About the Position**

The Human Resources function is on an exciting new adventure. We are collectively coming together to shape, educate and equip our people to deliver a customer service ethos that will actively support our City’s community, customers and vision.

One of our first priorities is the creation of the Learning Designer role, which will be critical in supporting the implementation of our Learning & Development strategy across the City.

You will be reporting into the Chief People Officer and working with key stakeholders across the HR team, including Senior Talent & Development Advisor, People Business Partners, People Project Lead & Work Health & Safety. It is an exciting time to get on board - we are process of implementing a contemporary learning approach across many employee lifecycle experiences including capability uplift, onboarding, induction and recruitment to name a few and we are looking for you to bring your creativity & knowledge to help us deliver on this ambition.

**Key Responsibilities**

The duties of the Learning Designer are various:

- Design the learning approach and program for various people centric projects across the employee lifecycle including setting learning objectives, creation of a curriculum outline and selection of a fit for purpose learning approach.
- Development of learning materials including content writing & design (e-learning, instructor led training and user guides)
- Execution of learning approach by coordinating and collaborating with other project team members including the delivery and facilitation of learning sessions as and when required
- Assessment and evaluation of the learning program through feedback and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and insights to improve learning outcomes.
- Support the change management process ensuring learning programs align with the City’s overall change management objectives and goals.

**About You**
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing and facilitating learning and development, having worked in similar roles previously
- Excellent written and communication skills that can inspire action
- Knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles to build a blended learning environment
- Ability to work independently and self manage various priorities on people centric projects
- Previous experience using eLearning development tools
- Sound experience in ERP systems and employee lifecycle initiatives
- Graphic design and video editing tooling experience

This temporary part-time position is a Level 9 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attract a salary between $123,589 to $130,096 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
