**About the role**:
**Key responsibilities**:

- Working with participants and their support networks to determine how their funds will be most appropriately spent.
- Empowering individuals and their families to manage some or all supports within their NDIS plan.
- Supporting and working with individuals to find suitable supports and services that align with their goals and aspirations.
- Researching and managing a range of therapy services and support providers, including coordinating the implementation of service agreements.
- Monitoring, supporting, tracking and reviewing individuals’ NDIS plans, support providers and goals.
- Establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with stakeholders, such as NDIS service providers, allied health professionals, NDIA, Queensland Health, Office of the Public Guardian, etc.
- Assisting support coordinators with NDIS plan documentation, including plan reviews.
- Advocating on behalf of individuals to ensure their needs and preferences are understood and implemented.

**What you’ll have**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication and social skills, including experience in recording activity notes.
- A commitment to the full participation and inclusion of people with disability within the community.
- High-level of organisational, time management and planning skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong research skills
- Ability to think creatively, be self-motivated, work unsupervised and in a team
- Excellent listening skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to create and maintain lasting professional relationships

**Certificates required**:

- A Disability Worker Screening clearance, and a current Blue Card, or ability to obtain both cards
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate + CPR Certificate or equivalent, or ability to obtain
- Quality, Safety and You, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, or ability to obtain
