Opportunity

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager - APAC, as HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support Nationally on a wide range of HR functions inclusive of HR policies, procedures, practices, and compliance requirements across all levels of management and staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide sound and accurate advice to employees and managers on Modern Award, National Employment Standards and the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) interpretation, and any/all other relevant legal instruments requiring interpretation
- Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conflicts, grievances, and performance concerns
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies in alignment with Company goals and objectives
- Develop, review and update HR policies, procedures and relevant documents ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry best practise
- Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics where required and as directed by the HR Manager - APAC.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Talent Specialist on effective recruitment strategies
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of new and exciting initiatives within business to help improve workplace culture.
- Generating and issuing of Employment Contracts, Contract Variations and Positions Descriptions
- Manage and maintain employee master data in HR systems such as Human Force, ADP Payroll and Workday.

To shine in this position, you’ll need to have:

- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or similar, relevant experience may be considered without a formal qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in same or similar position
- Sound understanding and ability to interpret Modern Awards, National Employment Standards, the Fair Work Act (cth), EEO legislation and relevant separate state specific legislation and or regulations
- Experience working within Mining/Manufacturing/Oil and Gas/Trades and Services and or Construction industries will be highly regarded
- Proficient understanding of HR Information Systems such as Workday and Human Force and ADP Payroll
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to build, manage and maintain strong working relationships
- Self-motivated, resourceful and solution focused
