Cheese Manager

Le Max Group is an independent supermarket chain that operate Leo's Fine Food & Wine and Maxi Foods.

**The Job Description**:
This is a small but important department in our store which needs someone with a passion for food and an understanding of how to maintain and manage a fresh food department.

Reporting directly to the Supermarket Manager, the Cheese Manager will be responsible for the following:

- Management of the Cheese Department
- Staff management and rostering
- Providing exemplary customer service, including responding to enquiries and requests
- Meeting and exceeding wages, sales and gross profit targets
- Ordering stock and liaising with supplier representatives
- Presentation, merchandising and stock management
- Compliance with all Food Safety and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Any other tasks as required by the Supermarket Manager

**Roster**
- Full-time/Part-Time
- One weekend day availability required

**Your Profile**
- Previous Cheese experience advantageous
- Previous Management experience advantageous
- Good product knowledge
- Customer focused
- Highly organised and efficient
- Strong work ethic
- Proactive and highly motivated
- High standard of personal hygiene
- Pristine personal appearance and uniform standards
- Ability to adhere to all Policies & Procedures

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 38 per week

**Salary**: $49,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- GLEN IRIS, VIC 3146: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
