**About the role**:
The fixed-term, full-time contract (Aug 2024 to Feb 2025) role of Registrar (Palliative Care) is based at Braeside Hospital and provides palliative care reviews to patients, and works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that medical clinical care is provided to inpatients of the Palliative Care service, under the supervision of the Specialist-in-charge.

**The essence of this role**:

- Provide in-patient care to people admitted to the Palliative care unit
- Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing patient care
- Maintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times and in all activities undertaken
- Implement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with their Specialist Supervisor

**Essential criteria**:

- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia
- Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty and completed at least 3 years of residency post-graduation.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Demonstrated safe and competent clinical skills.
- Demonstrated sound, effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- Organisational ability - both personal organisation and ability to supervise others.
- Demonstrated compassion and caring attitude.
