Leading Hand/supervisor

Master Steel specialize in the technical manufacture and assembly of steel components for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and local councils. In this position you will be part of the workshop production team where you will perform supervision and management while meeting the project’s deadlines and labour hours. In this role you will be expected to do the following:

- Assist production manager and oversee the workshop production
- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication and shop drawings and have a good understanding of inclusions and exclusions in project scope
- Direct and supervise workshop staff comprising of different trades including (but not limited to): welders / fabricators, fitters, etc.
- Be on the tools if necessary
- Weld and fabricate as per project requirements

**You will need the following**:

- Time management and coordination skills
- Experience as a leading hand or supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Experience as fitter / welder / boilermaker / fabricator (similar background will be considered)
- Experience with Australian welding standards and NDT (advantageous)
- **Must** be strict and disciplined
- **Must** have good attitude, reliability and team player

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,454.00 - $83,477.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
