We are looking for a Civil Lead to join our team to work on an exciting rail project in the Midland area as part of works delivering and commissioning new facilities and infrastructure for the PTA. The project includes the construction of earthworks, drainage, electrical, building and rail infrastructure. Working in metropolitan Perth, this is an exciting project for an experienced Civil Lead to join our team.
- This position will play a key role in effectively managing the project's completion in accordance with project objectives, including design criteria, safety, profit, cost, quality, time, and environmental management.**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide overall leadership for the Project and role model constructive leadership behaviour to create and sustain a high-performance culture.
- Own the Project Objectives and ensure that a key focus is maintained on meeting or exceeding these objectives throughout the Project duration.
- Translate the overall vision for the Project into goals and targets for the wider project team.
- Provide day to day management of the wider project team to ensure work is delivered in accordance with the requirements, addressing any issues as they arise.
- Maintain focus on the Project objectives in delivering the packages of work.
- Develop and implement clear accountability and responsibility framework.
- Implement performance development processes for the Project Delivery Team.
- Demonstrate a personal visible commitment to the project Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Culture, Policies, Safety Golden Rules and Management System requirements and expectations.
- Develop and review construction planning and monitor progress to ensure all elements of the project are on schedule and within budget, taking corrective action as required.
- Ensure construction is undertaken in accordance with quality, safety and environmental requirements.
- Develop procurement strategies and efficiently manage the procures of subcontractors and suppliers with the designated area/discipline.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of eight years construction experience.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects of comparable value, targets, timeframes, planning and logistics management.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities translated into the achievement by staff of individual and team performance objectives and measurement targets.
- Competent in negotiation and client relationship building accompanied with a sound understanding of contract management and cost containment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues, looks for approach change and deploys sound problem-solving methodology.
- Competent in use of all; in-house software.
