**Position vacant** for a "Turf Farmer and Gardener" required for a Turf farm (with some mixed farming - cattle and horses) located in Richmond NSW (300 acres of river flats with irrigation) on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, one hour from Sydney CBD.

We are currently seeking a Turf Farmer/Gardener to assist the Farm Manager in the operation of the Turf farm. You will be supported by the Farm Manager and Assistant Farm Hand.
- Be a team player with good communication skills
- Be hands on and have a positive work ethic
- Be flexible in hours and duties to assist team mates and the business as needed
- Some experience with any one or more of the following: turf farming, chemical spraying, tractor operation with mower, cutting turf a plus
- Must know how to operate machinery, one or more of specifically, ride-on mower, tractors, tip truck, front end loader, chemical spraying equipment, chainsaw and power tools.
- Experience/know-how in operating various levels/types of irrigation equipment is a plus.
- Can fix and mend post and rail and wire fencing

Other positive/desirable attributes:

- Chemical certificate a plus
- Welding a plus
- Knowledge of trees and plants and their seasonal care requirements a plus
- Current car license (truck license desirable - prime mover)
- Mechanic
- Chainsaw certificate
- Reliable mechanical skills (identify mechanical problems and can fix engines and mechanical problems as they arise)

**The successful applicant will be physically fit and able to assist with the daily operational and manual tasks of the farm, as directed by the Farm Manager.**
