About the OPPORTUNITY

We currently have exciting Electronic Assembler opportunities within our Battlespace Integrated Systems based in Edinburgh Parks, SA.
**Key responsibilities include**:

- Perform Printed Circuit Board (PCB) level assembly, both through hole and surface mount
- Be able to place and hand solder chip components as small as 0201 and 01005
- Have the ability to rework bottom only components
- Be able to place and rework fine pitch components
- Work on densely populated Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and with large heat planes
- Undertake looming and wiring assembly to IPC or MIL standards
- Work in a high mix low volume environment with constantly changing priorities
- Have a current certification in J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and IPC 7711/7721
- An understanding of electronic static discharge (ESD) handling and storage for electronic devices

About YOU
- Previously worked within the defence industry
- Experience in the use of specialised hand and power tools and basic test equipment
- Experience in PCB X-Ray inspection
- An understanding of Electronic assembly drawings, wiring lists and associated product documents
- The ability to identify electrical components by name, colour code, appearance and able to determine polarity
- A strong attention to detail
- Strong time management to complete tasks to scheduled time frames
