**Position**:Fellow (Cardiac Imaging)
**Northern Health, Epping, Victoria**

**The Role**
An exciting opportunity exists for a Cardiac Imaging Fellow to join the team at Northern Health. This role of Cardiac Imaging fellow including Echocardiography services, Cardiac MRI, Cardiac Nuclear Scanning, Cardiac CT, clinic and requires the successful applicant to develop and undertake research objectives, projects and proposals, and outcome evaluations. Research may range from experimental to clinical research and may include work in research lab as well as clinical setting.

The Fellow will support education and training initiatives and active participation in surgical forums and the Northern Hospital research week.

As a secondary focus, it will require provision of appropriate care to inpatients and outpatients of the Unit/Department and consultative service for patients of other units or departments. They also ensure supervision of the junior medical officers and provides support for the senior medical staff in the care of the Unit/Department’s patients.

Position commences on 5 February 2024.

**You will**
- Provide appropriate evidenced based clinical care in the specialty of cardiology and echocardiography for both inpatients and outpatients
- Provide support for a rapid cardiology clinic
- Perform and report transthoracic echocardiogram under supervision
- Supervise the day to day running of the echocardiogram service
- Provide support to clinical measurement department, in context of providing clinical advice regarding echocardiography findings.

**About You**
To be successful in this position you will require:

- Competency and recognised training in Cardiology including successful completion of an Advanced training in Cardiology at a recognised centre
- Eligibility for registration in Australia as a specialist in Cardiology (AHPRA Registration)
- Experience in cardiovascular research
- Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Must have a valid visa to work in Australia.
