MARS Recruitment is seeking a **Locum** **Mental Health Clinician** (Youth & Adolescents) to join a well-established hospital based in the beautiful Riverina region. **The role**:
The Mental Health Clinician position is open to Social Workers, Psychologists, Mental Health Occupational Therapists & Mental Health Nurses with a specialist area in youth and adolescent safeguarding. This locum will entail providing support to a youth and adolescent patient caseload of varied socioeconomic backgrounds with diverse mental health presentations. This is a committed and professional multidisciplinary team with ongoing opportunities to further develop your career in a recognised hospital network.

**Duties**:
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adolescents within a hospital environment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify, assess, and respond to safeguarding concerns, providing expert guidance and support. Your role will involve conducting risk assessments, implementing safeguarding policies and procedures, and delivering training to staff members to enhance awareness and understanding of child protection issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate safeguarding interventions and promote effective safeguarding practices across the hospital.
- Demonstrated and advanced knowledge mental health with emphasis on expertise in clinical settings working collaboratively with young people and their wider care team.
- A collaborative work approach with the ability to lead the multidisciplinary team to optimise health status and well-being of each client/patient and carer.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and balance demands of various stakeholders.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively implement and evaluate plans to support patients.

- Registration with AHPRA (OT, RN, PYSCHOLOGIST) AASW (SOCIAL WORK)
- National Australian Police Check
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Valid police check
- 2023/24 Flu Shot
- Serology - HepB, COVID-19
- COVID-19 Vaccine - Category A
- Class C driver's license
