**Full time permanent role (based on 35/38 hours per week) includes monthly Saturday shift & minimum of one Sunday in 8 weeks**:

**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has become available to join Merri-bek Libraries. This is a permanent full-time role based at Coburg Library.

The Library Officer role is responsible for providing high quality customer service and targeted library and information services to our diverse community. In performing this role, you will also assist with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide and participate in the Home Library Service team, including regular delivery of library materials to community members.

**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:

- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Excellence in service provision to all sections of the community
- Ability to deal with difficult situations
- Good computer literacy skills
- Flexibility and reliability
- Good time management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Child safety and wellbeing requirements and how this applies in the library setting
- A current Working with Children Check and Victorian Driver’s Licence
