**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Sustainable Procurement Manager is responsible for embedding sustainability objectives across the University's procurement activity. This role enables UNSW to respond to procurement and supply chain environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. You will also be responsible for ensuring procurement activity support UNSW in meeting its environmental sustainability, modern slavery and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) objectives.

This role is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic procurement ESG framework and implementation roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders, and ensuring that the relevant procurement and contract management procedures, processes, templates and systems align and are fully embedded.

**Who You Are**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Human Rights, Social Sciences or relevant discipline and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
- Possess personal attributes of openness, commitment to quality and a high level of initiative.
- Demonstrated experience liaising and providing expert, evidence-based advice to support informed decision making, policy development and pragmatic policy and operational solutions.
- Knowledge of legislative reporting requirements such as the Modern Slavery Statement, as well as awareness of the sustainability and integrated reporting landscape.
- Demonstrated project management experience from initial scoping through to delivery and evaluation in a collaborative and inclusive manner to build collective impact.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and responding to operational and reputational risks and opportunities related to topics such as modern slavery, environmental sustainability, Indigenous and social procurement in a diverse and complex stakeholder context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to deliver high quality and impactful reports and presentations.
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management and engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent time, organisational and workload management skills, including an ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and improve processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
