Our client located in Port Melbourne operates two key divisions: the Construction Products Division, serving active and passive fire companies, HVAC installers, and building contractors with a comprehensive range of products and fabrication solutions; and the Refractory Anchor Division, specializing in manufacturing refractory hardware components since 1987. With a focus on customer partnerships and timely delivery, our client ensures excellence in meeting diverse industry needs.
Position Summary:
Our client is looking for a Driver/Store Person to be responsible for accurate stock handling, efficient customer deliveries, and maintaining warehouse safety. 70% of the role will be in the warehouse, 30% of the role is driving. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring timely order processing and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities include efficiently picking, packing, and labelling orders using hand-held scanners. You will also be responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks while ensuring compliance with road safety laws.
**Collaborating closely with the Warehouse Supervisor**, you will prioritize and plan customer deliveries to guarantee timely arrivals. Additionally, you will maintain delivery vehicles, conducting scheduled maintenance to uphold their efficiency and safety standards.
**Handling customer inquiries** with professionalism and assisting with retail sales when required are also integral aspects of this role.

What You Need:
- Possession of a forklift license is highly desirable.
- Prior warehousing experience, preferably in construction or related fields
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and hand-held scanning equipment
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency in computer use for accurate data entry.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills
- Commitment to upholding company's quality and safety standards.
