Our client is a leading solutions provider and global manufacturer of innovative, custom solar panels to the resources sector.

With strong and clear leadership, our client continues to build the Supply Chain team and are searching for an Graduate **Demand Planner** who is talented, inquisitive, confident and courageous, to join the growing team.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Graduate **Demand Planner** will be learning from an expert, you will learn how to do forecasting & demand planning.

You will be responsible for assisting with the analysing, reviewing and delivering the mid to long term sales forecast for a dedicated range of our clients customers, products.

You will be required to work collaboratively with the sales and marketing team to deliver a consensus demand plan that has alignment and commitment at all organisation levels.

You are someone who is always striving towards continuous improvement and are active in driving a more effective forecasting approach and demand planning process to optimise the organisations strong outcomes.

You will have excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities and are a collaborative team player with a high attention to detail and superior analytical skills.

You are also a tech savvy supply chain professional who can assist with Forecasting and Demand Planning tools. You will have Tertiary qualifications relevant to Supply Chain Management and/or formal training in analytics/statistics will be viewed favourably.

The Graduate Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring the production team can efficiently process orders, this is a critical role within the operations team.

You will have the ability to deal with time critical decisions, priorities, relationships (internal & external) as well as contingency planning.

**Your Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Working with the Operations Manager to set the production schedule based on order intake and available resourcing, working to optimum inventory levels, minimising WIP times and avoiding delays due to supply.
- Oversee the inventory and forecasting system Netstock (including its implementation) to ensure accurate reporting of stock levels and supplier order status.
- Manage the Purchasing process with suppliers, with appropriate signoff approvals, including managing ETDs, payment deadlines, shipping agent coordination, etc.
- Ensure buy in product and components are warehoused efficiently and accurately, including quality checks on shipments.
- Monthly stocktake and recording in the Inventory System, overseeing the process and any anomalies.
- Monitor and report back
- and special-order status to customer service team to advise customers.
- Working with Operations team to ensure supply of materials and components to allow efficient production of customer and stock orders.
- Forecasting and work improvements with sales team, to ensure inventory reflects changing trends, sales data, minimising over or understocked items and excessive reliance on airfreight.
- Identifying and costing Bill of Materials for standard Solar and Fabricated products, designing for most efficient and standardised components to reduce costs.
- Manage relationships with local and international suppliers in terms of quality control, payments, and negotiations of best terms for the company - reporting to management any areas of concern.
- Identifying alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain risk and follow procedures to reduce risk in terms of cyber fraud or identified international situations.
- Managing freight, both local and interstate (road, rail, air) including negotiations with freight forwarders.
- Managing of custom orders to ensure specifications are confirmed and ordered accurately.
- Use supply chain knowledge to assist with new product development and identify opportunities to bring to R&D team.
- Product quality inspections to confirm correct supply of goods, and monitoring warranty returns, reporting any issues identified.
- Implement Product Recalls or Notifications where Non-Conformances or Failures have been identified.

**Salary**: $60,734.31 - $70,000.00 per year
