**Position Overview**: The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and managing our Volunteer Program. This role involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared and motivated to contribute effectively. The coordinator will work closely with our teams to maintain an appropriate number of volunteers across our Villages and ensure they are aligned with our organisational goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement RFBI’s volunteer program to attract, retain, and recognise volunteers.
- Promote volunteering to local organisations and community groups.
- Manage RFBI’s participation in the Aged Care Community Visitors Scheme.
- Lead volunteer recruitment, including ads, enquiries, and initial interviews.
- Develop and manage the volunteer onboarding program and induction process.
- Identify volunteer training needs and create training programs.
- Be the main point of contact for volunteers, offering ongoing support.
- Recognise volunteers through RFBI’s Appreciation and Recognition guidelines.
- Provide regular reports and insights on volunteer numbers and experiences.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in volunteer coordination or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with volunteers and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A passion for community service and making a difference.
